Like Bench Around the Lake by Jeppe Hein, Eden II by Tea Mäkipää is a recently commissioned and installed work located in 100 Acres, the just-opened sculpture park at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. It’s a two-part installation: the ship in the water and the guard house nearby.

Modern Mantra by Thomas Broomé

Thomas Broomé was born in Malmö, Sweden, educated in Gothenburg and Stockholm, and now creates strange, often interactive sculptures and installations. The project of his that sticks out for me is Modern Mantra, a series of pen and ink drawings of interior landscapes, painstakingly rendered using the words that describe them.

Monopoly Here and Now: The World Edition

Monopoly has a simple, effective formula that works with varied themes [apparently even the Junior Disney Princess Edition]. I’ve just learned that, earlier this year, people voted for cities to be included in the new Monopoly Here and Now: The World Edition. 20 top cities were chosen out of the pool of 70, with 2 more earning spots on the board as a result of write-in votes.
