Can you believe this? I’ve checked out the old Dixie Terminal in downtown Cincinnati countless times without noticing this faint ghost sign on the 3rd St. side of the building. Okay, it’s not that impressive, but it’s a great excuse to revisit this magnificent building.
The building was designed by Garber & Woodward and is located on the corner of 4th and Walnut Sts.:

The lobby was the setting for a scene in Rain Man. Early on in the movie, when Tom Cruise goes to the bank, it’s actually this space:

For the longest time, I was convinced it was the “Beef Terminal”. I guess “Dixie Terminal” is nearly as good.
