100 Acres, the sculpture park in Indianapolis, includes the structure Chop Stick, designed by Stockholm-based experimental architecture firm visiondivision.
Utilizing a 6-ton, 100-foot long tree that had been found near Anderson, IN, the multi-functional installation consists of an integrated picnic area, swing set and an informational kiosk. Slices of the trunk have been made into table tops, thick branches have been cut into stools, and the bark has become shingles on the pavilion.
100 Acres is filled with varied sculptures, including Stratum Pier by Kendall Buster, Free Basket by Los Carpinteros, Bench Around the Lake by Jeppe Hein and Eden II by Tea Mäkipää.
Now I have a reason to visit Indiana! Very cool concept! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Brittany, 100 Acres is a really cool sculpture park that’s been open for a few years now. Believe it or not, Indianapolis has some great attractions!
