The designer and public artist Candy Chang is absolutely one of my heroines, and her Before I Die project is a clever tool kit that has been deployed on walls in cities all over the world. Here it is in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati!
So, what do Cincinnatians want to do before they die? Rave with Daft Punk, eat a human, start a revolution, stuff like that…
My favorite answer is right here. A+ for the maturity, neighbors:
Candy Chang was born in Pittsburgh, spent years living in NYC and Helsinki, and is now based in New Orleans. Check out more information on this installation here and here. Really, though, you should spend some time perusing all of her projects, because she’s prolific and freaking smart.
