The Beesley Furniture Company was located on the corner of 3rd Ave. North and Broadway in Nashville, TN, on the edge of what is now the tourist district.
Because it seems impossible to discover anything anymore, it turns out that the great Fading Ad Blog already documented the ghost sign [3 years ago almost to the day, in fact], but not the entry tile or this really faded ghost sign which has something to do with biscuits:
“Ghost sign”. I’ve never heard that term but I’ve always loved them. They make great backgrounds for mixed media artwork. (And are beautiful in and of themselves.)
Good catch on the Biscuit. Looks like that one was painted, something built next door, partially over it, and then torn down again.
I hadn’t heard that term either, but I like it. So true about them making wonderful backgrounds!
