Peter Miller Hotel Ghost Sign in Miami Beach

Peter Miller Hotel Ghost Sign in Miami Beach

In posh and densely developed Miami Beach, it’s odd to encounter a lovely-looking hotel building that sits vacant. The former Peter Miller Hotel is located at 1900 Collins Ave.

How cool is this Art Moderne corner building?

The sign above the front door is advertising a demolition company. According to this article, the building will be partly demolished, renovated and restored to become the Lennox Hotel:

  1. Reminds me of an Eddie Izzard bit: “When we’re finished, this building will be restored to what it looked like FIFTY YEARS AGO!” “Impossible! No-one was alive back then!”

  3. My dad went to OCS either here or the Barclay in the early days of WW II. Anything left of the original buildings? I have pics of him in Miami and some interesting stories…studied in a cold bath during blackouts when it was hot outside.
