Demetrius Romanos is a Cincinnati-based designer and artist who creates urban-inspired mixed media paintings that often incorporate found collage elements. You may have seen his work at Synthetica-M Gallery in Brighton or as part of the annual Secret ArtWorks fundraiser. He also works at the downtown Cincinnati product development and design firm Kaleidoscope.
Romanos’ work brings together disparate pieces including vintage ephemera, graphic elements like arrows or letters, and bits of pattern for a multi-layered visual experience that references the gritty textures and rhythms of urban life. Visual references to car culture and design abound.
