On the corner of High St. and Starr Ave. in Columbus, OH, I came across this imposing, detailed building, the Fireproof Warehouse and Storage Co.

  1. Love it! I would have had a photo of that sign in a heartbeat. The detail and design that craftsmen/architects/whomever put into these old building is cool yet somewhat depressing when you compare it to anything built today. I mean, this is a warehouse, for Pete’s sake. I got a few new photos from my trip last week to WV that I’ll post soon. Thanks for sharing.

  2. That’s a pretty cool building, I’ve always liked the old sign, did you stop at Bodega afterwards for one of their many awesome beers on tap?

  3. I’m not a beer drinker; I let everyone else drink liquid bread if that’s their thing, but it’s not for me. As for Bodega, I do remember smirking at the name as we walked past but, honestly, that’s about all I can give to a place like that. Bodega? Really?
