The California Desk by Oakland-based J. Rusten Furniture Studio is made from native, salvaged Claro Walnut for the top and native, salvaged, Western Big Leaf Maple for the base. The San Francisco Bay provides a discreet hole for cables.
Ridiculous? Sort of. Well-crafted? It seems so. Available for purchase? Yes!

I love salvage wood furniture. Nice example.
Now you have to make one shaped like OTR!
I wouldn’t set anything of value on the far left edge. No telling when it might fall off.
(^) hahaha
Quimbob, that’s hilarious!
The top surface is stunning. The legs seem a bit unresolved, both in the form and in the finish. I assume that this is a student project or a prototype. Anyone know?
