wow – these are great! really like the world map with the ship making up part of the border.
Her work is sweet without being twee. I keep expecting to see Holly Golightly strolling past one of the shops in these illustrations.

I would like to know as an artist how you turn drawings into illustrations?x
I am a talented artist but I don’t know how to turn my drawings into illustrations does anyone have any advice?
Claire, if you’re looking for advice on how to pursue commission-type work, your best bet would be to check out illustration sites and forums. As a start, the one bit of advice that I can think of would be to reorganize your portfolio into categories like media, subject, and style, and to look at your work as being, to some extent, assignment-based. I think that’s probably the way an art director would start to assess it.
Thank you for your advice. Did you have chance to view my website?
I did; best of luck!
