NYC had its US map-emblazoned skating rink for Election Day, and Cincinnati has this formerly colorful US map in Washington Park. I think that this was part of the school and its playground; I only noticed it last week for the first time.
Unlike Ron Arad’s bookcase-as-map, this one includes our non-adjacent siblings, Alaska and Hawaii. The former is decked out in a dazzling blue, while the latter looks sloppy and lazily formed. Oh, well.
