This print by Cincinnati’s own Charley Harper is entitled New York Harbor 1947 and is one his “new” releases. As far as I can tell, it is one of the illustrations of road trip destinations he developed for Ford Times [I’ve shown other examples here], but it was not published at the time. It’s a rare example of Harper’s treatment of urban, industrial subject matter. No whimsical animals, no greenery, just a big boat and its environs. See his other Ford Times prints [birds, fish, and road trip destinations] here. My birthday’s coming up, and I’d love my very own White Sands, New Mexico.
