Sacramento-based artist Jayme McGowan creates intricate dioramas of people in whimsical situations. These dioramas exist both as originals and as digital prints, which are for sale in the Roadside Etsy shop.
Photographs of the work-in-progress are on the Roadside Projects blog, providing a fascinating glimpse into a slightly obsessive-compulsive creative endeavor. Pictured here are two views of The Trick Rider, available as a print via Etsy.
As a side note, dioramas are definitely making a comeback. I’ve already mentioned the paper sculptures of Peter Callesen, and I’ve got a few more examples to post in the near future.
