Yahtzee by Ann Toebbe

Ann Toebbe was born in Cincinnati, educated in Cleveland, NYC, New Haven, and Germany, is now living in Chicago. Her work, rendered from memories of her Midwestern upbringing, mythologizes domestic life and its accoutrements, without including people. A few of her paintings are available as prints via 20×200.

Jan Vormann strikes again, this time in Berlin, where he’s patched up some WW2-era holes in buildings with Duplo. Using children’s tools to fix problems created by adults? There is something absurd but beautiful about that.

Helsinki-based graphic designer/illustrator Janine Rewell studied at the University of Art and Design Helsinki and at RISD and now creates lovely [and silly!] illustrations for magazines, events, and packaging. Her work reminds me a bit of another Finnish illustrator — Sanna Annukka.
