The Brooklyn-based designer/artist Mike Perry currently has work on view at YES Gallery on Main St. in Over-the-Rhine, and he also recently painted this cheery, almost hieroglyphic mural in the pocket park at Clay St. at Melindy, right across the street from Matt W. Moore’s mural.

In fact, this mural went up about a month and a half ago, but I must have been living under a rock and just recently spotted it. The colors are so saturated that the white outlines seem to almost glow:

I love mural
and this is spectacular.
I’m glad you like it. It’s not very big, but it’s perfectly tucked into this little park. I think it’s great.
Mike Perry also designed the cover of the new Walk the Moon album. He must have strong Cincinnati ties.
Is that a Cincinnati-based band? I don’t know anything about Perry besides his work, which I really like. Maybe he’s from this area?
Love this mural, love this park. And yes, Walk the Moon is from Cincinnati – their breakout song “Anna Sun” was filmed at the Mockbee … they also love OTR: http://www.blogotr.com/otr/walk-the-moon-on-cincinnatis-music-scene-and-otr/
Cool!
