Located at 14th and Republic Sts., I’m pretty sure this Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati ghost sign reads “Ehmann Home Carpets” and also “Vine below Liberty St.” Anyone know something specific about this business? Which building did it occupy on Vine St.?

The mural Over-the-Rhine: Into Its Renaissance, located on Vine St. between 15th and Liberty, was painted by Jenny Ustick and a team of ArtWorks apprentices in the summer of 2008.

An artist after my own heart, Jason Kowalski was born in Boynton Beach, FL and now resides in Laguna Beach, CA, where he paints scenes of vacant buildings and deserted places. These ghost sign paintings are hauntingly beautiful.
