I was born in Lancaster County, PA. Most of my extended family still lives there. I grew up traveling the PA turnpike. I don’t know why, but it was one of my favorite parts of driving to and from PA.
It’s a nice drive. I especially like all the tunnels that cut through mountains, with their Art Deco typography. I wanted to capture that but my camera reflexes weren’t quick enough!
