The mural For a New World graces Holy Covenant United Methodist Church
at 925 W. Diversey Pkwy. in Chicago. It was painted in 1973 by John Pitman Weber with assistance from Oscar Martinez, and depicts the three areas of the congregation’s service: Confession, the Word, and the Offering.

The creation of the mural was sponsored by the Chicago Mural Group, now the Chicago Public Art Group, which restored the work in 1996. Learn more about this mural in the organization’s Community Public Art Guide.
