Save the date! Our talented friend Cedric Michael Cox will be having an exhibit of new paintings entitled Soul within Structure at the Contemporary Arts Center, with an opening reception on Sat 24 Oct, 1-4pm. I had fun designing the poster promoting the exhibit and, this time, our intern helped with the printing.

Archeologies of the Future is an ongoing project by LA artist Charles LaBelle. Since 1997, LaBelle has documented every single building he has entered, gathering the information in a database of over 9000 entries. Here are some of the drawings he has made of those buildings.

The Rybolt Heating Cooling building, a.k.a. Trimble’s Bail Bond, is at 813 Broadway St. in downtown Cincinnati. Which do I prefer, the “Ry” ligature of the Rybolt sign, or the “don’t tremble” slogan of the Trimble’s sign?

David Imlay is a West Coast artist who paints primarily portraits and cityscapes, mostly of San Francisco, with a bit of Chicago thrown in for good measure. These paintings are from his Suburban Series.

If you spend time in Over-the-Rhine, you have surely noticed more rehab and building activity on Vine St., slowly moving up toward Kroger and my beloved Smitty’s. This cute little post office seems to be part of the action.

Our Midwest Seed Bombs are included in the debut issue of Lonny Magazine, a new venture from some former staffers at Domino Magazine, which folded earlier this year. Lonny is an online publication which allows you to instantly purchase the products seen on its pages.
