We’re pleased as punch to have our work included in the book Lettering & Type: Creating Letters and Designing Typefaces by Bruce Willen and Noel Strals, which was just published by Princeton Architectural Press. The book includes work by so many people we admire, including Margaret Kilgallen and Stefan Sagmeister.

Baltimore-based Bruce Willen and Noel Strals founded Post Typography, a design studio which, among other things, curated Alphabet: An Exhibition of Hand-Drawn Lettering & Experimental Typography, which includes a type family designed by my partner and better half, Michael Stout, and which has been traveling across the US for the past four years. Yee-haw!

Excellent work – congrats!
Wonderful! Congratulations!
Very nice. Congrats!
Thanks, all! Aside from a bunch of books that I’ve designed, my work is also in couple of other design books — Indie Publishing and 100 Habits of Successful Publication Designers.
Ooh nice! Congratulations!
Thank you so much, Grace! Michael just bought the book for us, and his type family is in it as well, the one that’s in the exhibit I mentioned. So, we’re pleased about the whole thing.
Congratulations on your publication!
Love it! This is one of my favorite design books.
Agreed; it’s a great introduction to typography, and the examples shown are varied, many of them having not been included in other books.
I just picked this up and wound up reading it cover to cover. Not bad for a design book!
That’s great! So, I take it that you’ve enjoyed your purchase…
