
FLOR is an innovative manufacturer of modular carpet tiles, which come in a variety of colors, patterns, and textures, some suitable for office use, some for home. Oddly enough, two of their latest kits, entitled Hello Down There and Be My Neighbor, focus on cities and suburbs!

Yahtzee by Ann Toebbe
Ann Toebbe was born in Cincinnati, educated in Cleveland, NYC, New Haven, and Germany, is now living in Chicago. Her work, rendered from memories of her Midwestern upbringing, mythologizes domestic life and its accoutrements, without including people. A few of her paintings are available as prints via 20×200.

Curl up on the couch with the paper? Don’t mind if I do! Located at 1159 North High St. in the Short North district of Columbus, this limestone sculpture was designed and carved by Akron-based artist Robert Huff. Apparently, this site once housed furniture stores so, in addition to providing seating, the public art project hearkens back to the history of its site.

OTR Anagram print on vintage wallpaper
This weekend, the merchants around 12th and Vine in Over-the-Rhine are having a big summer sale, and our framed OTR Anagram serigraphs, printed on assorted vintage wallpapers, are 25% off at MiCA 12/v. Other participating shops include Joseph Williams Home, A Lucky Step, Metronation, Switch, The Little Mahatma, Outside, City Roots, and Park+Vine. Long live independent retail!

Being a hopeless urbanite, I’m fascinated by small town water towers. They serve as landmarks much like a city’s tallest skyscraper might, but also as “welcome” signs, welcoming travelers to many small towns across the country. Thus, our region’s own Florence Y’all water tower just had to be immortalized in a three-color limited-edition serigraph, which debuted at the OTR/Gateway Summer Celebration and is now available in our online shop.
