Charley Harper is truly one of my heroes. In fact, I recently wrote about him for Apartment Therapy. You can learn a bit about his life here and check out his work here.

Harper had an extremely long and prolific career, spanning roughly 60 years. Although he’s best known for “minimal realist” depictions of birds and animals, some of my favorite work of his is a series of US landmarks for Ford Times. Pictured here are White Sands, New Mexico, Grand Union Hotel and Lookout Mountain.
Harper passed away exactly a year ago.
